Thursday 9th December

I didn't think I'd get chance to write anything today, but we had a good day yesterday with lots of photos. So here's hoping the hotel internet holds up so I can post before I have to start packing.

Yesterday morning, we both had things to buy from different places, so NM went off to Fish Shop Street, while I shopped locally in Tseun Wan. They dont seem to see many white women on their own wandering about, so I was pointed at a bit!

After taking my purchases back to the hotel, I joined NM in Mongkok to meet his long-lost friend Tom for lunch. It is so good that these two have found each other again; we all keep talking about the co-incidences that led to the meeting. It surely was fate taking a hand.

After lunch, Ceci picked us up in the family car, so we were able to take a visit to Sai Kung. We had a lovely long walk all around the seafront, and more co-incidences prevailed. We got chatting to an English lady out walking her dogs, she lives in Sai Kung, and her husband was once one of Ceci's boss at Dragonair! Small World or what??

Then we drove back to our hotel and had dinner out locally. Ceci left for home as she had quite a journey to get back, and we took ourselves out again. Our hotel offers a free shuttle bus to it's residents so we hopped off to Tsim Sha Shui. A few more pressies later we came back to our hotel at about 1am.

And now we have to get packed up, a job I hate every year! We don't fly until tonight, so we've kept the room for an extra day and don't have to rush out by midday. We've had the most brilliant holiday and spent time with great people.

And we've decided that if we go home and start saving immediately, we might just be able to come back again next year....
